Who We Are

Letters from Mother Christmas is a personalised letter subscription service based in the United Kingdom. When we refer to "we", "us", or "our" in this policy, we mean Letters from Mother Christmas. You can reach us at hello@lettersfrommotherchristmas.com.

What Information We Collect

When you place an order we collect the following:

• Your name and email address
• Your delivery address
• The child's name, age, and birthday month (where provided)
• Personalisation notes you choose to share (favourite things, pets, hobbies, and so on)
• Payment details — these are processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe) and are never stored by us

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide solely to deliver your subscription:

• To write and personalise each letter for the child
• To post letters to your delivery address each month
• To contact you about your order or any issues with delivery
• To send a birthday message in the appropriate letter (if a birthday month is provided)

We do not use your order data for advertising or profiling. However, we do use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel on this website to measure the effectiveness of our advertising. This may involve Meta receiving information about pages you have visited on our site. See the Third Parties section below for more detail.

Children's Information

We collect only the minimum information about the child necessary to personalise the letters (name, age, birthday month, and the notes you provide). This information is used exclusively for writing the letters and is never shared with third parties for any other purpose.

Third Parties

We share data with the following trusted third parties only as necessary to fulfil your order:

• Stripe — for secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/gb/privacy
• Royal Mail / postal services — your delivery address is printed on your envelope so that letters can be posted to you
• Meta (Facebook) — we use the Meta Pixel to measure ad performance and reach people who have visited our site with relevant advertising. If you have an account with Meta, they may match your visit to your profile using hashed data such as your email address. Meta's privacy policy is available at facebook.com/privacy/policy

We do not sell, rent, or otherwise share your personal data with any other third parties.

How Long We Keep Your Data

We retain your order details for as long as your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (typically 12 months) in case of queries or disputes. Personalisation notes are deleted once your subscription has ended. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of any inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data ("the right to be forgotten")
• Object to or restrict how we process your data
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

Cookies

We use the Meta Pixel, which places a cookie on your device to help us measure advertising performance and show relevant ads to people who have visited our site.
